This year, the Fall Classic Golf Scramble fundraisers goal is to raise funds to purchase a "Point of Care" providing healthcare professionals the ability to connect, cosult and collaborate with their patients and associates from anywhere at any time.
Fall Classic Golf Tournament fundraisers have raised over $100,000 with funds designated to purchase equipment such as a bladder scanner for hospital and clinic use, a Lucas Chest Compression System, Lifepak defibrillator, auto pulse machine, patient Hoyer lift, mobile bladder scanner, AED's for our Balaton and Walnut Grove Clinics, contributions to enhance radiology and technology, cardiovascular and strength training equipment and facility improvements and last year puchased a Glidescope™. Your continued support provides the highest level of care right here… at home.
Why an Annual Membership Drive?
Although the foundation has been very fortunate to receive several large gifts in past years, the means to sustain the organization’s ability to continue providing financial support for our local hospital and clinics and continue providing scholarships will likely be based upon a yearly commitment of foundation support by community members – KEY MEMBERSHIPS.
Key membership is simply a commitment to provide a yearly tax deductible gift in an amount designated by the contributor. Gifts of any amount are appreciated and welcomed. When the Key Membership Program was implemented 10 years ago the following levels of giving were established:
$1.00- $199 – Associate Members – Certificate of Appreciation will be awarded each year of contribution.
$200 - $299 – Bronze Key
$300 - $499 – Silver Key
$500 - $999 – Gold Key
$1,000 and over – Platinum Key
Key Members receive a membership plaque with their first gift and key. Each plaque will accommodate ten years of gift contributions.
In the past 10 years the Tracy Area Medical Foundation has been responsible for raising and contributing nearly $100,000 toward the purchase of Wellness Center equipment for strength and cardio vascular training. In 2010 the Foundation raised $85,000 and contributed $100,000 to the Tracy Clinic construction/remodeling project.
Tracy Area Medical Foundation purchases Glidescope with $1,500 in grant monies received from Lyon Lincoln Electric Roundup program and $500 from Redwood Electric Trust combined with funds raised from the Fall Golf Classic Fund-raiser held each year in September. Due to equipment cost, fund-raising for the Glidescope became a two year project in 2012 and 2013.
The Foundation’s donation will have a significant impact on the future of patient care services offered at Sanford Tracy Medical Center. Physicians and nursing staff will be able to use the Glidescope as an alternative airway management technique adapted into emergency care settings and used with rapid sequence intubation.
As a member of the Sanford Health Network, Sanford Tracy receives significant support in the areas of education and technology; however expenditures in the areas of equipment and program development are the responsibility of each individual health network facility making the Foundation’s support extremely important. Skyrocketing costs can impede Sanford Tracy’s ability to access new technology or equipment making foundation support a paramount component of healthcare delivery here in our community.
