Tracy Area Medical Foundation Holds Annual Fall Classic Fundraiser
Thank you to everyone who made the 2016 Tracy Area Medical Foundation Fall Classic Fundraiser a huge success. We met our goal of raising $10,000!
The funds raised at this year's event were used to purchase an Audiometer/Tympanogram (used for hearing assessments in children and adults) and an Electronic Infant & Baby Scale for the Sanford Tracy Clinic. This equipment has replaced old, out-dated equipment that will allow for more accurate testing and better care.

Tracy Area Medical Foundation Donates $1,375 to Sanford Tracy, Balaton and Walnut Grove Clinics To establish Reach Out & Read Program
After learning about the Reach Out and Read Program that promotes early literacy in children, The Tracy Area Medical Foundation Board of Directors wanted to ensure this program was offered to pediatric patients visiting Sanford Tracy and/or our satellite clinics located in Balaton and Walnut Grove. The Foundation Board of Directors graciously donated $1,375 to initiate the Reach Out and Read Program. The concept was initially presented on behalf of “Dr. Andy” Kopperud due to great success with the program currently offered to his patients at Sanford Westbrook. As a part of the effort to ensure the success of the Reach Out and Read Program, providers and clinic nursing staff have been or will be trained on the evidence based Reach Out and Read program to administer to patients during well child visits. From six months to five years of age, during their well child visit, the child and their parents are presented with a brand new book that is age appropriate and culturally sensitive.
The Tracy Area Medical Foundation accepts gifts as direct donations or as memorials. Foundation contributions may be given through one’s living trust, a charitable gift annuity or as a life insurance beneficiary. Your continued support provides the highest level of care. All donations to the Tracy Area Medical Foundation remain right here….at home.

Although the foundation has been very fortunate to receive several large gifts in past years, the means to sustain the organization’s ability to continue providing financial support for our local hospital and clinics and continue providing scholarships will likely be based upon a yearly commitment of foundation support by community members through Foundation Membership.
Your commitment to provide a yearly tax deductible gift in an amount designated by the contributor is all that is needed to become a member. Gifts of any amount are appreciated and welcomed. The levels of giving are as follows:
$1.00- $99 - Member
$100 - $199 - Bronze
$200 - $299 - Silver
$300 - $499 - Gold
$500 - $999 - Platinum
$1,000 or more - Diamond
In the past 10 years the Tracy Area Medical Foundation has been responsible for raising and contributing nearly $100,000 toward the purchase of Wellness Center equipment for strength and cardio vascular training. In 2010 the Foundation raised $85,000 and contributed $100,000 to the Tracy Clinic construction/remodeling project.
As a member of the Sanford Health Network, Sanford Tracy receives significant support in the areas of education and technology; however expenditures in the areas of equipment and program development are the responsibility of each individual health network facility making the Foundation’s support extremely important. Skyrocketing costs can impede Sanford Tracy’s ability to access new technology or equipment making foundation support a paramount component of healthcare delivery here in our community.
